INTERNATIONAL

1. APS DAGSHAI SCHOOL ALUMNA SUMMITS MOUNT EVEREST

An alumna, Rigzin Dolkar (2013-14 batch) daughter of Late Hav Sonam Norboo of Army Public School, Dagshai, did the school fraternity proud by beiong part of a team which scaled the world’s highest peak – Mount Everest.  Led by Col Gaurav Karki, the four-member NCC cadet girls’ squade achieved the feat on 22 May 2016.  As far as the history of the Army Public School is concerned, Rigzin Dolkar is the first student to have achieved this exceptional feat.  Displaying the rare spirit of adventure and courage.

2. INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIAD OF MATHEMATICS AND SCIENCE

Students of APS Dagshai won 05 Gold, 05 Silver and 04 Bronze medals in the International Olympiad of Mathematics and 07 Gold, 06 Silver and 07 Bronze medals in the International Olympiad of Science at level-I.

3. FIRST INTERNATIONAL EQUANIMITY OLYMPIAD – 2015

The first International Equanimity Olympiad was held to inculcate the human values, morality & ethics on 29 Aug 2015 under the banner of IPSC.  279 students from classes-IX to XII participated in it.  The school has been awarded a certificate of merit.  Principal & teachers are awarded certificate of appreciation.   Master Tej Pratap Yadav S/o Hav Santosh Kumar, Class-X of our school stood first in Himachal Pradesh and has been awarded a smart phone alongwith certificate of merit.

NATIONAL LEVEL

4. ALL INDIA IPSC CULTURAL FESTIVAL OF MUSIC, DRAMA AND LITERARY SKILLS.

19 students (14 boys and 05 girls), of APS Dagshai have participated in All India IPSC Cultural Festival of music, drama and literary skills from 22 Oct to 24 Oct 2015 at Daly College, Indore.  Hitika Gupta got 1st prize in debate (Turn Coat), Manshi Tanwer got 1st prize in Hindi writing and school got overall 3rd position in Literary skills.

5. ALL INDIA FINE ARTS EXHIBITION.  

05 paintings of our students selected to exhibit in the All India Fine Arts Exhibition at Shimla on 27 Dec 2015.  Jaya Shrees of Class-XII-Sc got 2nd prize in Open category.

6. DIGITAL WELLNESS ONLINE COMPETITION WINNERS (HIMACHAL PRADESH).

Digital Wellness Online Competition was held in the school in first week of Jul 2015 as per the directions of CBSE and FDRC New Delhi.  Master Rup Bahadur Gurung S/o Nk Man Bahadur Gurung of class-XII of APS Dagshai has won Digital Wellness Online Competition in the Senior Male Category from the state of Himachal Pradesh.  04 participants (02 Boys and 02 Girls) have been selected from each State and were invited on 04 Feb 2016 at Stein Auditorium, India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi.    Master Rup Bahadur Gurung attended the award ceremony and received a certificate and a trophy for Digital Wellness online competition on 04 Feb 2016.

7. NATIONAL LEVEL ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION.

Miss Deepali Singh D/o Mr L B Singh, Class-VII of Army Public School Dagshai has won prize in National Level Essay Writing Competition (Category-II, Classes-V-VIII) conducted by CBSE.  She has been awarded a Certificate of Achievement and a Cash Prize of Rs 3,000/-

Army Public School’s position according to Education World Survey 2015 is as follows: –

(a) Ranked No. 03 in the Best Co-ed Boarding School in the state.

A school level painting competition was organized by Himachal Dastak on ‘Save the Environment”. 1800 students from 200 schools of 10 districts of Himachal Pradesh took part in this competition. Jaya Shrees, a student of class XII of Army Public School, Dagshai won the first prize in Poster Making Competition in Himachal Pradesh. Her poster was titled, ‘Unite and Save Earth’. She was awarded a cash prize of Rs 7000/- by the media group- Himachal Dastak. Sophia Philip of class XII won the first position in poster making competition in Solan district. She was also awarded a cash prize of Rs 1000/- by Himachal Dastak.

10. First International Equanimity Olympiad Exam 2015

The first International Equanimity Olympiad was held in Army Public School to inculcate human values, morality and ethics among the students. 279 Students of Classes IX – XII appeared in this Exam organized by Satyug Darshan Trust, Faridabad on 29 Aug 2015. Tej Pratap Yadav of Class X stood first in Himachal Pradesh and was awarded a smart phone with a certificate of merit.

11. Inter School English and Hindi Declamation

Diya Tanwar and Priyanka Thakur of Army Public School, Dagshai participated in the Inter School English and Hindi Declamation Competition at Pinegrove School, Subathu on 04 Sep 2015. Sixteen schools participated in this competition where Army Public School stood on the second position. Diya Tanwar was adjudged second in the English Declamation Competition.

12. HQ 2 CORPS Inter Army Public School Basketball Tournament

Army Public School, Dagshai hosted the HQ 2 Corps Inter Army Public Schools Basketball Tournament for boys and girls from 02- 04 Sep 2015. Eight teams in both categories participated in this tournament which was played on League cum Knock out basis. The Chief Guest for the opening ceremony was Col Bhavnish Singh, CO 11 Madras. Army Public School, Dagshai (Girls team) won the finals of the HQ 2 Corps Inter Army Public Schools Basketball Tournament and made place for itself in the Command Level Basketball Tournament whereas the boys team of APS, Dagshai lost in the finals. The Chief Guest for the closing ceremony was Brig O P Singh, Commandant 14 GTC and Chairman APS, Dagshai who gave away the trophies and certificates to the winner and runner up teams. He also complimented all the teams for playing the tournament with true sportsmanship.

13. IPSC IT FEST

A team of students from Army Public School, Dagshai participated in the IPSC IT Fest at Yadavindra Public School, Patiala from 02-03 Oct 2015. The team comprising of Hitesh Verma, Laksh Sharma and Dhruv Sharma won the second prize in Robotics.

14. CBSE Expression Series

India- Africa Forum Summit 2015, an initiative by CBSE Expression Series in the form of an essay writing contest was organized in the school. Sahil Aktar Shaikh of Class X won the first prize at the regional level and he was awarded a cash prize of Rs 15,000/- by CBSE.

15.  ALL INDIA IPSC CULTURAL FESTIVAL OF MUSIC, DRAMA AND LITERARY SKILLS

19 students of Army Public school, Dagshai participated in the All India IPSC Cultural Festival of music, drama and literary skills from 22 to 24 Oct 2015 at Daly College, Indore. Hitika Gupta won the first prize in turncoat debate. Manshi Tanwar won the first prize in Hindi writing. Army Public School got the third position in the literary skills among all the participating schools.

16. Certificate of Merit

The following three students of Army Public School, Dagshai have been awarded Certificate of Merit by the CBSE:

  • Kshitiz Rana for outstanding academic performance in English Core.
  • Shrikanth Selvaraj for outstanding academic performance in Political Science.
  • Sahil Singh of outstanding academic performance in Accountancy.

17. State Level Painting Competition

The students of Army Public School, Dagshai participated in the State Level Painting Competition at Governor’s House, Shimla on 06 Nov 2015. This competition was organized by the Department of Energy Conservation, Government of India. This competition was held in three stages where 14000 schools and 05 lakh students participated. Diya Tanwar of Army Public School, Dagshai stood first in the competition and was awarded a cash prize of Rs 2oooo/- and Rs 1000/- for participation. Other Rigzin Chospel, Abhinav and Shweta Kumari were also awarde a cash prize of RS 1000/- for their participation. The students were awarded a school bag and an LED bulb along with the cash prizes. Diya Tanwar has been selected to represent Himachal Pradesh in the national to be held at New Delhi.
